Andrés David Carrara proposes sixteen paintings repetitively reproducing the famous Fabbri amarena cherry jar: the quantum enhancement of the object and the particular point of view lead to an alienating perspective that means the realistic dimension is lost and replaced by a dream-like content. The suggestions dictated by the “different repetition” and by the virtuous foreshortened view open up the interpretation to a route that alters the direct observation of the everyday object in favour of a new presence reinterpreted by the symbolic values that it embodies: for this reason the Fabbri jar becomes Like a star, the stellar emblem of navigation beyond the Earth but also, more simply taking up the figurative meaning of the word, production excellence, a “star” of the Italian culinary tradition.
