IV edition - 2012

Fabbri Art Award - 2012

The fourth edition of the Fabbri Art Award was held in 2012, from January 28 to February 28, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
Giulia Caira, Marco Cornini and David De Biasio were the winners of the edition. The awards were presented Sunday, January 29 in Bologna, at the Art Talks space of ArteFiera, by Umberto Fabbri, President of Fabbri 1905, by the curator of the Prize Alberto Agazzani.

Great consensus around the choices of the jury in which, alongside Fabbri and Floreani, were called the winners of the previous edition of the Prize Vincenzo Cabiati, Gioacchino Pontrelli and Marco Prestia. On the podium there were the very original reinterpretation of the Odyssey entitled Quando Ulisse se ne andò Circe e i suoi maiali si divertirono tantissimo, a photographic shot by Giulia Caira from Cosenza (but adopted by Turin); the female portrait Ancora una..., a terracotta sculpture by Marco Cornini from Milan; and the "photorealist" oil on linen Tricolore, a luminous painting by the Venetian artist David De Biasio

A special mention, instead, went to Giorgio Laveri and his polychrome sculpture Amarcord
