Amarcord

Using giant objects, which have now become the technical-linguistic expedient that characterises the artist’s poetics, the work Amarcord embodies the affective dimension associated with the Fabbri product for what it represents in history. Playing on the collective memory of those who really experienced the 1950s, those of the post-war reconstruction and of the hope that the economic miracle would soon be under way, Laveri introduces to us, as a memory that does not want to fade, the amarena cherries in full maturity and the Fabbri vase in the splendour of its own opalescence in “joint opposition” to the faded postcards from other times and the “Fabbri Cherry Brandy” poster withits colours pale, a testimony of the past.
