This work by Nicola Bolla coincides with a gesture with the flavour of Duchamp, in which the object reigns supreme, filling itself with other values with respect to its simple formal content: the technique of covering the elements of the sculptural representation with Swarovski crystals, in addition to being the distinctive language of his poetics, is – according to the author – none other than the desire to “render extreme the idea of the ephemeral and in some way of the uselessness that sometimes resides in the artist’s work”. With Untitled it is the Fabbri vase that is radicalised in its external form, becoming the refined emblem of its precious content.
