“I was born in January 1970. My parents got married in 1969, and they had three children. I’m the eldest. They split up in 1978. In 1976 my father, a commercial agent, was working for Fabbri. In December that year, during the national annual meeting in Bologna, he was awarded a medal of merit as a representative of the company. With this memory in mind, I tracked down the photographs that my father had taken of us three children that same month, in that same year, and I reworked some designs from the images (the one featuring my parents is from the year of their honeymoon) and I used the medal as a stamp. The background is made up of a collage of laser prints created on the order sheets which commercial agents were given, together with the decorative pattern of the jar of Rachele Fabbri’s Amarenas. All these elements could be seen during those years in my father’s study”.
